First Impressions
Makarma Resort in Lombok turned out to be a beautiful property with a peaceful vibe. The resort is big, has plenty of space, and even comes with its own café — which is super convenient since it’s located a bit inside from the main area.

The Stay Experience

• The rooms and bathrooms were quite decent, comfortable, and clean.

• Big swimming pool with a nice sitting area around it — perfect for relaxing.

• Huge parking area (so whether it’s a scooter or car, no problem at all).

• You can also rent scooters or cars/jeeps directly from the resort to explore Lombok.

• AC worked perfectly.

• They offer food and drinks in-house (and possibly laundry service at extra cost, if you’re staying longer).

• As a vegetarian, I usually have fewer food options, but I really enjoyed their spaghetti here.

Location & Surroundings
The resort is in Lombok, which is pretty spread out, so don’t expect everything to be nearby. Still:

• Once you step out of the resort’s lane and reach the main road, you’ll find a few options, including 1–2 small beach cafés/clubs where you can eat right in front of the ocean — such a relaxing vibe.

• The area around the resort is quiet and peaceful, with lots of greenery.

• It’s far from Kuta, so keep in mind these are two completely different sides of Lombok.

• Nearby, there are beautiful beaches and even waterfalls worth exploring. (I’ve shared more about this in my Bali & Lombok vlog on YouTube.)

Service & Facilities

• The owner was very friendly and helpful, which made the stay even better.

• The resort provides quite a few facilities at extra cost (like laundry).

• Overall, it felt like everything you’d need for a comfortable stay was available on-site.

Overall Rating
For me, Makarma Resort was a great experience. It’s peaceful, comfortable, and perfect if you’re planning to relax while exploring the natural beauty of Lombok.
